Realisticly, this situation would be utterly horrifying.
To look yourself in the mirror, and to see something else staring back, is probably the most terrifying thing one could ever see. Especially something so far removed from humanity.
At the end of the day, humanity is the one thing nobody can lose, no matter how bad it gets. Even the poorest, most broken-down, most hopeless human can at least declare that they are a human.
But for your own humanity, the one thing that is yours, no matter what, something so basic and primal, to be so casually stripped away...
That, my friends, is true terror.
